New Hampshire Adventure–Carter Hill Orchard

I think you should go to Carter Hill Orchard.

First, you should go to Carter Hill Orchard because the apples are nice and juicy.  They have them lined up.  They use their apples for apple cider.  From the apples left, they use them for cider.  They have raspberries.  Maybe you could pick some one year.  They sell pumpkins.

Second, you should go because they have things to do.  They have a playground.  They have bean bag toss.  You can pick apples.  They have an observation tower where you can see the NH mountain ranges.  They have a country store.  They have a fun rope swing.

The third reason you should go to Carter Hill Orchard is they have things to buy like apple cider.  They have jams and jellies and pieces of pie.  In their store, they have bags of apples to sell, and they use them for apple cider.  They have this little place where you can get pumpkins.

You should go to Carter Hill Orchard.

Have you ever been to Canobie Lake Park?  I went there!  I can tell you what was my favorite ride.

Well, actually, I have a bunch of favorite rides.  One of them was the cars I drove by myself.

There’s also this ride that is just so much fun!  It’s like, let me explain it.  So you go in and up, in and up, in and up.  That was fun.

It was kind of scary when I went on the carousel, but I wasn’t worried because it had music.  Also, the best part was the horses went up and down.

Then another favorite thing was the water park.  You would love it.  They have things to float.

Guess what I forgot to mention.  There were bumper cars!  Now I hope I go back because I did not do too well on the bumper cars yet.

Guess what now.  This was my favorite favorite thing ever.  I mean that.  Do something, I call it Twister.  It’s so much fun!

You should go to Canobie Lake Park.  Have a good time!  Ride those rides!

The Sneaker Escapes!

It all started with our TA Cade’s sneaker obsession.  He has over 35 pairs in his collection!

As we’ve been enjoying our spectacular read aloud, The Wild Robot Escapes, we wondered . . . . . What would happen if Cade’s sneakers decided to escape?

The Sneaker Escapes!

Cade’s sneakers are going on an adventure!  I hope you’re excited about me telling you about his sneakers.

“Wake up!  Cade is now leaving!  Let’s hide!”

“Quick, under his bed!  Phew, he took some other sneakers to wear today and packed up.”

“Now we’ll leave tonight for the airport.  We have to make a plan to get on a plane somehow.”

That night Cade came home, took a shower, and went to bed.

The sneakers whispered, “Let’s go for the escape!”

The next day Soze and Jack, the sneakers, ran to the airport and then got confused.

“Oh, no!” said Soze and Jack.  “We can’t tell which plane to get on!”

“Hey!” said Jack as he looked at a man.  “That guy speaks French.  I think he’s going to Paris, France.  Let’s follow him.”

Jack and Soze got on a plane and blasted off.  Finally, they got all the way to Paris.

“At last!” said Jack.

“Wow, look at that tower!  This is a dream place,” said Soze.  “Paris is wonderful.”

Well, unfortunately, they got caught.

“Well, maybe they will let us go because we are just sneakers.”

“That’s a good idea,” said Jack.

“Please show me your passport,” said the guard, “Or you cannot go to Paris.”

“I have an idea,” said Soze.

“What?” said Jack.

On their way home, Jack felt sad.

“Sorry, Jack, but that’s nonsense.  Let’s just go to bed.  Goodnight.”

“Get the point?”

How Can I Make the World More Beautiful?

I could be a doctor.  I would plant sunflowers or volunteer for NASA or be a teacher.  I could be on the beach of Maine and run a hospital.  I could sail on the sea and pick up trash on beaches or ponds.  I could be any teacher to make the world more beautiful.  I could mow fields or mow lawns.  I could run a shelter when serious storms come.  I could be a missionary.
